London!!
I went to London for the second half of my spring break to visit some of my friends from IU! My plane left at 6:40 am on Sunday, so it was a long day of traveling before I even got there. It was also quite depressing taking money out of the ATM because i got 100 pounds for 200 dollars! My friends live in Nottingham, which is a really nice area in London. The first day we walked around Kensington Park and saw where Princess Diana lived. We had lunch at a little pub around their neighborhood and I tried the fish n chips, which was actually pretty good! The next day we walked around and saw Big Ben, the London eye, and Buckingham Palace. The weather was really nice, not like the typical rainy, cloudy days they normally have in London. The next day my friends had to work so me and my roommate from Milan did a day trip to Wimbledon! We took a tour around the tennis courts! Unfortunately center court is closed until the tournament this summer because they are putting a retractable roof so they will be able to play when it rains. But we were able to see Court 1 and a lot of the other little ones. They also have a really cool museum that we walked around in before the tour. We left the next day because we started classes again on Thursday!

Spring Break Cruise and London!! march 22- april 3
I went on a cruise in the Mediterranean Sea for Spring Break with two girls in my class! It was suppose to go to sardenia, Sicily, Oblia, Malta, and Africa!! We found out on the 3rd day that the weather was way to bad and therefore making the seas really rough to go to Africa and Malta. It was really disappointing but they took us to a port near Rome and Nice, France instead, which were both really cool to see! In Sardenia we took a train to see Pompei and the ruins. However, we didnt realize that the tours to see the ruins closed at a certain time of the day, pretty early, and we missed the last tour by like 15 minutes! The weather during the beginning was not too good either but we still had a great time! Nice, France was the most beautiful city I have been to. We walked along the beach and layed out for a little while! The food on the cruise was really good too! We had like 7 course meals every night offered to us. I tried risotto for the first time and it was really really good! Overall, I had a really good time and the girls I went with were really nice and we had a lot of fun together!

PARIS! March 14-17
Last weekend I went to Paris, France with one of my roommates who has a friend studying in Paris. Her friend is living with a host family and they allowed us to stay there for the weekend! We didn't get there until later Friday evening because traveling took awhile, too many buses and trains! But that first night we went to dinner at a place called the Spaghetti bar. It was a really cool, modern restaurant in the gay district of Paris. We all spit really good spaghetti and wine! Then that night we went to a few other pubs and bars for a little while, in France they stay out pretty late. The next day we went to the Luxembourg Garden's and just sat and looked at the view for awhile. It was really relaxing. We also went to ......... then for dinner we went to a place called "Indiana" and the food was pretty Americanized. It was funny because all the decorations were pictures of Indians and Indian accessories were all over. So i guess they associate Indiana with Indians? kinda funny! Then we went to a really cool bar called Footsies. Its suppose to be like a stock market and the prices of the drinks are listen on a big board above the bar, and they change every so often, and then sometimes the stock market will crash and the drink prices are really cheap. So we all had a lot of fun there! Sunday morning we all slept in for a while then we ate breakfast at a place called "Breakfast in America" because we all wanted eggs and pancakes and it ended up being really good! The rest of the day we just walked around. At night we went to see the Eiffel Tower, which was really cool because it was lit up. Monday morning we got up at 5am to start our travels back to Milan and got home around noon! I absolutely loved Paris and would go back if I had more weekends and time! Maybe someday...

Barcelona!! February 28-30
My friend Elle is studying abroad in Barcelona so me and my other friend Laura, from Florence, went to see her last weekend! I got there late Friday night and we went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner that was really good. I know its kinda weird to get Chinese food in Europe but it was worth it! Then we were all pretty tired so we didnt go out that night! Which was probably a good idea because in Barcelona people don't out to the bars until about 2 or 3 am and we were going to be walking around and sight seeing all day Saturday! Saturday we went to see the Cathedral, the outdoor market (which was huge! and had really good candy!! ..i think there are pictures on the webshots link i attached above), and Parc de Guell ( which was my favorite part of the day). I have a lot of pictures from that day on webshots. That night we went to dinner at a really cool tapas restaurant. Tapas are just like little appetizers, but much better! We got a bunch and then split them between the three of us. We also had sangria which is the drink that Spain is known for, its just like wine with fruit in it, and its tastes really good as well! We went out for a little while that night but I had to leave at 330 am to make my plane at 6:40am! (which I almost missed) Overall it was a really fun weekend!! This weekend (March 7-9) my friends from London are coming to Milan to visit! So we finally get to take people around Milan!

Florence!! February 15-17
I just had a great weekend in Florence visiting one of my sorority sisters from IU! The city was beautiful and actually what I thought Milan was going to look like! There were little cobblestone streets everywhere, and cute little caffe's on all the corners! I did not make it to see the real David, but took a picture next to the fake one! I finally gave in to shopping and found a leather bag that I am in love with! Kinda expensive, but totally worth it i think! I traveled by myself for the first time which was kinda scary because the whole train thing can be kind of confusing. But i made it! This weekend I am going to Seville, Spain to visit another sorority sister with my roommate and some other friends are flying in from London to meet us there! We are leaving Thursday morning at 6:10 am, way too early but the early the cheaper soo its always early, because our classes got canceled on thursday and friday! I am still trying to figure out how to upload pictures but I will hopefully have some soon!
sevilla!!
i went to sevilla, spain for the weekend for one of my sorority sisters 21st birthday! We got there on Thursday at like 9am and walked around for awhile. The city is beautiful!! It was 70 and sunny, so the weather was great! The first night we ate at a really good Mexican restaurant and then went out for our friends birthday! The next day the weather wasn't as nice but it was still pretty warm, especially compared to Milan! We walked around the cathedral and Alcazar, which is a really cool fortress. Kings actually still stay there when they come to visit Sevilla. I took a lot of pictures of both those places, which i will add a link so everyone can see! Then we went to dinner at the best Italian restaurant I have been to yet! I got lasagna and it was amazing! haha i have been wanting to get it since I got to Italy and ironically had it for the first time in Spain. That night we went to some local bar where they have really cool dancers. The next day we went to "tio pepe" winery which is the 2nd most visited winery in the world! I also have a lot of pictures from there. We went to a wine tasting at the end but they gave us 2 kinds of sherry, both of which were not good. One was way too sweet and the other was wayyy to dry! But it was cool to see the winery! That night we went to some local bar called the Big Ben and then to a disco club (they are all over Europe) and its funny because they play all American music. We stayed out pretty late that night and then the next morning we had to get up at 8 am because our plane left at 1015! So overall it was a great trip!!
